America Once Upon A Time ...


now had years, perhaps decades, that our community was planning a trip to the U.S. to embrace overseas relatives, who emigrated to the States in the early twentieth century. Many citizens monteleonesi had tried their luck in search of the famous American dream for most of them today has now become a reality. For several weeks, however, our dream has become reality at last Monteleone has moved at last we reached the New Jersey Society Monteleonese where we were welcomed with open arms, to mend old relationships and to celebrate Columbus Day, the anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus. Obviously the trip was preceded by years of preparations and the initiative was led by the Corps Band "Innocenzi Carlo" and its President Attilio Allegretti, constantly engaged so that everything could take place. Central to the success of the ambitious project were also the secretary of the band, Leonardo Carmignani, and the official interpreter of the trip to the USA, Andrea Paoletti, useful for communicating with the organizers and the authorities with which our Monteleonesi have come to contact. Arriving in New York on October 8, the group stayed in the Big Apple before heading at a time in Trenton and Hamilton in the following days where the marching band performed in two parades of high value. After a week in the New World Band and his companions have returned to the Bel Paese, giving appointment in September 2010, when likely there will be a visit to Italy by the Society of Trenton Monteleonese It is the responsibility of us all to prepare them warm welcome ....

The Last Trench: We're back to 1918!



Other than Cinecittà! Umbria can offer much more ... and seems to have also understood Alberto Sironi. The director of Varese in fact is turning in the small town of Vallo di Nera a miniseries that will air Rai Fiction in two episodes in the fall on Rai Uno. Filming started in the first days of July, after closing the set of the Colle Bertone and Polino, where they were relived the terrible armed conflicts of the Great War. The making of the film, however, required a large number of extras and figures and many of our children Monteleonesi answered the call. Young and old have had so the chance to live unforgettable moments, to learn about famous actors and wear clothes of 1918: a 'unique experience. He also contributed to the making of the film also Body Band "Carlo Innocenzi," which he performed on the set playing the Italian Royal March, sliding down perfectly in the role of the military band the First World War. Obviously, the effort was completed with the utmost professionalism, so much so that a band occurred on the set with tools from the early years of the 900, well preserved. Thanks to its outstanding performance our band received the same compliments Sironi, as it was being recorded at only a single attempt to put just the audio of the scene. No doubt this was a prestigious and important collaboration, which is further confirmation of the quality and value of our band, one of the most renowned Valnerina. We hope that the passion for music will always burn in the hearts of so Monteleonese as it has been over the years. We wish our country to reach better targets El Machico greets you ...

A Carnival ... Each Scherzo Vale!


This year, as every year, last night in Monteleone was celebrated Carnival. Celebrations took place in the local school, where adults and children were dressed and spent a wonderful evening, accompanied by music, dancing and lots of laughter. The Dance of the Quadrille was then the clue of the evening time, when, after dancing all night, and Massimiliano Rosati Simona Cicchetti were named the winning couple of the dance. The evening then progressed and proved to be fun for children than for adults. Without doubt, the hours spent together last night represented a good time for the whole community of our small community. With the hope that this tradition continues, El Machico invite you to visit next year. Hello and Happy Carnival to all!!

Happy 2009 to all!


Happy New Year to all! I hope that everyone has passed peacefully this holiday season and that has had the opportunity to celebrate the arrival of 2009 at best, maybe standing next to people who are more expensive. I apologize for not having updated the site last month, but have not found the time to do between a cake and the other! Seriously, last time was El Machico very busy and could not guarantee a frequent maintenance of his blog. And then it was party for him ... eheheh!
