So even here in Monteleone, after waiting a full year, Halloween has finally arrived and was once again organized a wonderful party for the occasion. All the guests enjoyed themselves masquerading, dancing, laughing and joking all night .... and what a night! A night enchanted world where the border between the living and the dead thins to the point where two worlds come into contact with each other ... for one night, one night every year! America Once Upon A Time ...


now had years, perhaps decades, that our community was planning a trip to the U.S. to embrace overseas relatives, who emigrated to the States in the early twentieth century. Many citizens monteleonesi had tried their luck in search of the famous American dream for most of them today has now become a reality. Central to the success of the ambitious project were also the secretary of the band, Leonardo Carmignani, and the official interpreter of the trip to the USA, Andrea Paoletti, useful for communicating with the organizers and the authorities with which our Monteleonesi have come to contact. Arriving in New York on October 8, the group stayed in the Big Apple before heading at a time in Trenton and Hamilton in the following days where the marching band performed in two parades of high value. After a week in the New World Band and his companions have returned to the Bel Paese, giving appointment in September 2010, when likely there will be a visit to Italy by the Society of Trenton Monteleonese It is the responsibility of us all to prepare them warm welcome ....
