The fires are lit by that time, during the night between 9 and 10 December, villages and countryside of the Nera Valley, to illuminate the darkness and illuminate the path of the angels. Of course, the finest and greatest of all is to Monteleone, although its preparation requires many days of work and so many guys Monteleonesi decided to volunteer to make the Focone this year. After hard work, finally the fire was lit at 21:00 and the party began after the blessing of Don Camillo. The evening was enlivened by the Corps Band "Innocenzi Carlo" and the participants were heated with a few glasses of wine, accompanied by a sandwich with sausage. So singing, laughing and dancing the night went on waiting for the sunrise around the Focone.
